Microsoft vient enfin d’annoncer officiellement sur son blog officiel Windows Phone que la mise à jour Windows Phone 7.5 Mango débutera soit la semaine prochaine c’est a dire à partir du 26 septembre ou bien à partir du 3 octobre 2011. Parallèlement à cela la page « Where’s my phone update? (Quand puis-je attendre ma mise à jour ?) » sera elle aussi mise à jour pour informer de l’état d’avancement de la mise à jour Mango chez les différents constructeurs et opérateurs dans les différents pays.

Cette mise à jour Windows Phone 7.5 Mango sera également accompagnée pour tout les utilisateurs d’une mise à jour des firmwares des constructeurs (Samsung, HTC, LG, Dell, …) qui permettront entre autre un fonctionnement optimal de Mango et la corrections de bugs mineurs et majeurs. Cet article d’Eric Eric Hautala, General Manager, Customer Experience Engineering encourage ceux qui n’ont pas encore téléchargé les dernières versions Windows Phone 7 Connector pour Mac et le logiciel Zune pour PC à le faire dès maintenant afin d’être prêt a recevoir la mise à jour Mango dans les meilleurs conditions et de profiter des améliorations apportées par ces nouvelles versions de logiciels.

Je préconise personnellement à ceux qui ont installé les versions bêta 1, beta 2, beta 2 refresh ou RTM de revenir d’abord sous NoDo (7389/7390) ou Post-NoDo (7392) avant d’installer ces nouvelles versions de Zune ou Windows Phone 7 Connector. En effet j’ai expérimenté moi même certains problèmes il y a quelques semaines lorsque j’ai voulu restaurer mon backup (sauvegarde) après avoir installer cette nouvelles version de Zune, désinstaller cette dernière et réinstaller l’ancienne version puis faires quelques manipulations pour pouvoir restaurer ma sauvegarde post-NoDo (7392).

Since your phone requires the proper firmware to function as designed, my advice is simple: steer clear of bootleg updates and homebrew tools.

By the way, in case you missed it, we recently released new versions of both the Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac and the Zune software for PCs, which you’ll need to update your phone. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to install it. I think you’ll like the update-related improvements, which speed up the overall update process and give you more control over backups.
